As a DJ, Amsterdam based hybrid controllerist Navid Divana enchants the audience with a wide range of music, mainly at Ecstatic Dances across the Netherlands. With 15 years of experience, the creative-technical mastery of an extensive set-up results in unique transitions, live mashups & tribal re-touches. But that’s not what’s going to happen tonight…
Last year he started to translate his performative DJ skills into a full-blown self-made live set-up, because he can’t get enough of smashing buttons, slamming faders & twisting knobs. The first full version of this set-up takes us on a journey through the sounds of glitchy acid-house & breaks. There isn’t a clear song-after-song structure and the focus is on performance & improvisation.
Besides that, he is spending increasingly more time on music production & giving musical DJ/live performance classes. And he is still trying to fulfill his desire to be a singer in a heavy rock band!
